Roy Oppenheim on Volcanoes and the Economy from Costa Rica

0 Comments Foreclosure Defense Attorney and Legal Blogger, Roy Oppenheim, gives an inspiring New Year’s message live from Costa Rica on rebuilding our nation.

The Arenal Volcano is one of the world’s ten most active volcanoes. Arenal Volcano lay dormant for hundreds of years until July 1968, when a sudden eruption leveled the former village of Tabacón.

These villagers had no idea that they were living at the foot hills of a volcano and just overnight without any warning, the volcano wiped out the entire village.

This reminds Roy Oppenheim of what’s happening with Real Estate in the United States. Without any warning we were hit with the equivalent of an explosive volcano that erupted and changed all of our lives.

However, the people in the neighboring Tabacón villages were able to rebuild their lives and create a thriving tourism business around this volcano.

What does this mean? Sometimes out of adversity we have the opportunity to rebuild and that is what we will do together in 2011, as we grow stronger as a nation. Oppenheim continues to coach troubled Florida homeowners via monthly foreclosure workshops, focusing on foreclosure news, strategic default and more.
