This video is a collaboration between two Youth Development Volunteers in Costa Rica. These are videos and pictures from camps, celebrations, and everyday life. It is a glimpse into the unique perspective each one shares living on opposite shores of this tiny country. From the Afro-caribe and indigenous cultures of the southeast to the typical “Tico” and cowboy cultures of the northwest, and all the nature in between. We hope this video represents how diverse Costa Rica is; not only in nature, culture and people, but also in the experience of the lives of the volunteers.
This video was submitted for consideration in the Peace Corps Week 2014 (#PCWeek2014) Video Challenge, “Cultural Windows: What I wish Americans knew about my Peace Corps country.” This contest encourages currently serving and returned Peace Corps Volunteers to help Americans better understand their country of service through engaging videos. This video does not reflect the official views of the Peace Corps or U.S. Government.
